Millions Of Illegals Are Taking Americans Jobs
The economy is not benefiting the American citizens; it benefits illegals.
In the United States, illegal immigrants often arrive with the hope of finding work. Many employers hire them because they can pay lower wages than what they would have to pay to hire U.S. workers.
However, this employment is illegal under the 1986 law, known as the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA). Despite this, some employers knowingly hire illegal workers, while others do not properly verify employment documents and end up hiring illegal workers who present fake documents.
This situation is made easier because workers' documents are not required to be verified, and because E-Verify remains voluntary on a nationwide basis, employers can easily avoid compliance.
